Michigan Online presents the “Democratic to Authoritarian Rule Teach-Out,” a month-long conversation on how history can help us understand today’s political climate. In this teach-out, learners will hear from experts on democracies and the processes that erode democratic decision-making and structures. By examining historical and comparative patterns, learners will better understand contemporary politics and make better sense of political changes by thinking systematically about different impediments to democratic politics and decision-making.
