Lifesaving Opioid Addiction Meds Rarely Started After Emergency Visits for Overdose

A new study led by Thuy Nguyen from the U-M School of Public Health reveals that only 6% of Medicaid patients treated for opioid overdose in emergency departments received medications proven to help with addiction within 30 days.
