“Making pictures move” is the theme of a new online exhibit from the William L. Clements Library: Living Photography: Finding Film History in the Archive. The exhibit, curated in part by students from the Winter 2024 course “Film History: Origins to the New Wave,” offers a “hands-on” approach to film history. Viewers are encouraged to watch, listen, touch facsimiles, move at a comfortable pace, pause, and revisit in whatever way they feel makes the exhibit come alive.
