Madelon Stockwell became the first woman to attend the University of Michigan, but the achievement was not hers alone. As to the Woman Question is the digital version of an exhibit at the Bentley Historical Library, recognizing the 150th anniversary of the enrollment of Madelon Stockwell. This exhibit focuses on the people, in particular the women, who played a role in opening the university to co-education between 1858 and the early 1870s.
