U-M Club of Greater Detroit: General Information

The University of Michigan Alumni Association’s Club of Greater Detroit is open to all members of the University of Michigan Alumni Association and includes both alumni and friends of the university. During the school year, we meet once a month – generally on the second Tuesday of each month – for lunch and friendship. At our meetings we have a speaker from the U-M family. Our club is led by four officers, an Executive Committee, and a 24-member Board of Governors.

We have committees that plan our events. There are many opportunities for members to become actively involved in club activities. We have more than 2,000 active members from the area! Some members have moved away but still maintain their membership in the club, including members throughout the United States and in several foreign countries. All our events and meetings are open to members and guests. We’re always looking for new members!
