More than 30 million people take to the roads over Memorial Day Weekend. And if traffic isn’t enough to dampen the mood, motion sickness often is. However, engineers at the University of Michigan have developed innovative seat technology that can reduce motion sickness by nearly 50%, eliminating the need for Dramamine. In this Michigan News research spotlight, Shorya Awtar, U-M professor of mechanical engineering and director of the Precision Systems Design Laboratory, shares insights into the project.
