Visit some of the world’s most intriguing sites on this ten-night Mediterranean cruise. See historic Istanbul, the city astride two continents. Explore the ancient ruins of Troy or choose wine tasting in Bozcaada. Lounge on the beaches of Kuşadasi or travel to Ephesus. See the remnants of past civilizations in Crete’s capital city, Heraklion. Journey to Pompeii or visit Naples and its artistic treasures. In Rome, take in the Colosseum, St. Peter’s Basilica, the Pantheon and more. Venture to Florence or picturesque Tuscany. Monte Carlo calls for a visit to its famed casino or choose the Circuit de Monaco. Wander through Marseille or visit the idyllic Provençal countryside.

Day 1 – Depart for Turkey


Day 2  – Istanbul, Turkey

Once known as Constantinople, Istanbul was the capital of both the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires. Revel in this cosmopolitan city’s lively blend of East and West, ancient and modern.

Day 3 – Bozcaada/Troy, Turkey

Explore Bozcaada, a small Turkish island in the northern Aegean Sea. Saunter through the Bozcaada castle, at times occupied by the Byzantines, Venetians, and Ottomans, or sample some of the region’s wines at one of the island’s many vineyards. Alternatively, travel to the mainland to discover the ruins of the ancient city of Troy, a key city in Homer’s epic poem The lliad.

Day 4 – Kuşadasi/Ephesus, Turkey

Kuşadasi is a resort town that boasts spectacular beaches and acts as a jumping-off point to explore the legendary ruins of the city of Ephesus—an important archaeological site and a historic Christian pilgrimage destination. Here, visit the Library of Celsus and the Temple of Artemis.

Day 5 – Heraklion, Crete, Greece

From the stately Church of Agios Titos and the ornate Venetian Loggia to the sturdy sixteenth-century Koules Fortress overlooking the sea, Crete’s capital city is teeming with impressive monuments. Remnants of ancient civilizations are on display at the renowned Archeological Museum and Palace of Knossos—a masterpiece of Minoan architecture.

Day 6 – Cruising the Mediterranean Sea


Day 7 – Naples/Pompeii, Italy

Naples is a city of breathtaking frescoes, archaeological and artistic treasures, and mouthwatering cuisine. Admire the eighteenth-century sculptures at Capello Sasevero, explore the Archaeological Museum, or dine at the world-class pizzerias on Via dei Tribunali.

Day 8 – Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy

Once the center of the world’s greatest empire and now the capital of modern Italy, Rome displays relics of its past wherever you look. With legendary sites including the ancient Forum, the Colosseum, and Michelangelo’s breathtaking frescoes in the Sistine Chapel, Rome is a monumental city rich in antiquity and culture.

Day 9 – Florence/Pisa/Tuscany (Livorno), Italy

The architectural and artistic masterpieces of the Renaissance—Michelangelo’s David and the masterworks of the Uffizi Gallery—await you in Florence. Pisa’s Field of Miracles and iconic Leaning Tower also beckon, as does the rural Tuscan countryside, renowned for its gently rolling hills, medieval hilltop villages, and world-class wines.

Day 10 – Monte Carlo, Monaco

With an area of less than one square mile, this city-state packs excitement into its small space, including the glamorous Monte Carlo Casino and the Circuit de Monaco, the site of the famed Grand Prix.

Day 11 – Marseille/Provence, France

Voyage to Marseille and see the beautiful Cathédrale de Marseille Notre Dame de Major as you cruise into port. Wander through the ancient Le Panier neighborhood or the République quarter with its historic Haussmannian buildings and stylist boutiques, or meander through the picturesque countryside of Provence.

Day 12 – Barcelona, Spain

Disembark in Barcelona.
