Trip Highlights

Experience the flavors of Colombia on this 9-day adventure, including stays in Bogota, Medellin, and Cartagena. You will feel the rhythm of the people, sail the Caribbean waters, and explore beautiful landscapes.  You will start your exploration in the capital city of Bogota, where you will visit the magnificent Salt Cathedral and have a memorable culinary experience at the famous Andres Carne De Res! Next is Medellin, a city filled with art, innovation, and some amazing views. Visit a coffee farm and taste some of the best coffee in the world. Take in a city tour including a visit to Comuna 13, known for its art and graffiti. Finish your trip on the coastal town of Cartagena where you will learn some impressive salsa moves, eat some amazing seafood, and cruise to the neighboring islands on your very own private speed boat!

Itinerary

Day 1 – Bogota, Colombia

Check in at the Hotel NH Teleport.

Depending on when your flight arrives, choose to relax and wander the streets of Colombias vibrant capital, or participate in one of the many optional activities such as a Bogota City tour or a hike to Monserrate for a supplemental cost.

Day 2 – Bogota

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

Salt Cathedral

This wonderful place located one hour away from our city, was chosen in 2007 as the First Wonder of Colombia. The Design of the spaces inside the mine, the decoration, lighting, the art pieces and the fact that you are walking through a space nestled in the mountains make this a unique and unforgettable experience. At the end of the tour, buses will drop you at Andres Carne De Res.

Get acquainted with your fellow travelers at an official welcome dinner at the Andres Carne de Res Chia and have a great night out at this Colombian Institution. Enjoy a ride in a Chiva.

Day 3 – Bogota/Medellin, Columbia

Transport to the airport: There will be multiple buses to provide a smooth transition to the airport and the group may be divided into smaller groups.

Day 4 – Medellin

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

Visiting a Coffee Farm is a “must-do” when you visit Colombia. During this tour you will live and learn the complete experience of the process of coffee all the way from the seedling to the cup.

Day 5 – Medellín/Antioquia

Enjoy breakfast the hotel.

City Tour + Graffiti Tour

Visit the Botero Plaza downtown then ride the city’s Metrocable (cable car system) which connects the city with some of its informal settlements. The tour ends at Comuna 13, a neighborhood packed with street art thanks to its revitalization during the last 20 years.

Enjoy the evening at your leisure.

Day 6 -Medellin/Cartagena

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

Transport to the airport and board a flight bound for Cartagena. Transport to your next hotel.

Finish the day with a Salsa dancing lesson. Salsa is a must in Colombia, its not only a music style but a cultural movement within our country, Colombians love salsa and salsa dancing even more! Feel and enjoy the music while you have a great time in a one hour lesson with professional dancers.

Day 7 – Cartagena

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

Board speed boats seating 20-25 people each and go island hopping in Cartagena’s beautiful Caribbean waters. The boats are equipped with music, staff, and drinks. We will stop at 2/3 islands including Cholon, a private beach, and another island for lunch before returning back to Cartagena. This is a day for the books!

Day 8 – Cartagena

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

You may either enjoy the morning at your leisure or take an Old City Tour, a cooking class, or explore Cartagena’s beautiful city on your own. A list of optional activities will be provided and can be booked for an additional fee.

Wrap up the trip with a farewell dinner at Marea to reminisce about all the great times you have had this week, and make plans for your certain return to beautiful Colombia.

Enjoy entry to a popular cocktail bar – Alquimico Bar – with an amazing rooftop to close out your final night in Colombia with a bang!

Day 9 – Depart for Home
