U-M Role

He is the Principal Investigator for NASA’s Geospace Dynamics Constellation’s NEMISIS magnetometer that will study the aurora. Mark is an award-winning educator, author, researcher, and inventor that has been at the University of Michigan since 2009.

Trip Experience

Sharing the experience of the Arctic and the opportunity to see one of the natural wonders of the world – the aurora borealis. I have instruments to study the aurora throughout the Canadian Arctic and Antarctica, but have not had the opportunity to visit the Finnish Arctic.
