Tony Fadell, ’91, has undeniably altered the face of portable music with his invention of the Apple iPod, yet his creative genius did not stop there. He has since held over 300 patents and co-founded Nest Labs, a company born out of Fadell’s frustration in finding a thermostat for his energy-efficient home. This spurred his invention of a self-programmable, Wi-Fi enabled thermostat. Fadell was also has been on the “best” lists of Vanity Fair, Business Insider, Fast Company, CNBC, Fortune, CNN, and Time.
