Regular Eye Drop Regimens Are Crucial for Glaucoma Patients

A Michigan Medicine study underscores the importance of consistency in eye drop routines for patients with glaucoma, a leading cause of blindness. Paula Anne Newman-Casey,  associate professor of ophthalmology with Michigan Medicine, found that patients who regularly used their prescribed drops were significantly less likely to experience worsening vision or blindness. Her research shows how to improve outcomes and help prevent vision loss from a disease that affects 12% of the elderly population.
