About the opportunity:
We are a talent consulting and recruiting firm that provides creative and efficient services to Michigan businesses and communities. We have a need for someone to host events and do a wide range of other key duties to support the team, including:
Event coordination – Event set-up, clean-up, hosting and planning
Marketing – Social media, writing blogs and event related communications
Office duties – Answering the phone, assisting with accounting duties, scheduling meetings, preparing handouts for workshops, entering data into CRM
Friendly/Social/outgoing – You are very comfortable in social settings with college students and young professionals and are able to engage with them to ensure that they enjoy our events and programs.
Hard worker/inititiative – You enjoy being busy, efficient and thrive on producing high quality work.
Detail orientation/organization – You have an above average organizational ability, and are able to keep lots of balls in the air.
Tech savvy – You are comfortable with technology and enjoy learning new systems and tools.
Excellent communication skills – You must be an excellent writer and have solid editing abilities. You also communicate clearly and proactively with other team members.
Able to work weekends and nights – Our events are occasionally on nights and weekends.
Has access to reliable transportation – We have events in a variety of locations around Washtenaw County.
Able to lift 30 pounds – There will be some lifting required for event set-up.
The salary for this position is $15 per hour and we do not offer benefits except for vacation.
