Women make up about fifty percent of Michigan’s population; however, they only make up sixteen percent of Michigan’s local chief administrative officers. The Michigan Municipal League’s 16/50 Project is working on lessening this leadership gap by getting more women seated in the municipal top spot. This is a panel to meet women leading communities in Michigan, discuss local government challenges and learn more about the municipal management profession.
