The world is close to essentially being a ‘clean energy world’, which is exciting but also ‘interesting’ since there’s a paradox due to the worlds 2.4 degree increase in temperature. According to former Irish President Mary Robinson, who spoke at the 21st Wege Lecture, the University of Michigan’s leading sustainability lecture series, at Rackham Auditorium, Robinson discussed the different kinds of injustices that developing countries face in regards to clean solutions. The article concludes by emphasizing the importance of the next seven years in order to achieve a net zero emissions world by 2050.
