The COVID-19 pandemic has led to an increased focus on the impact of food intake and body weight. Public health issues such as eating disorders and weight stigma have been ignored even though the pandemic increased the amount of disordered eating behavior triggers. It has also led to negative health implications such as fear, panic, post-traumatic stress disorder and higher levels of anxiety.
