Histotripsy is a new type of technology being used to treat liver tumors through ultrasound. The University of Michigan is currently enrolling patients in a clinical trial to determine the safety and effectiveness of histotripsy. Mishal Mendiratta-Lala, MD, is the principal investigator of the U-M trial site, and discusses her work.
