U M Survey Reveals Michigan Communities Priorities For Spending COVID Related Federal Relief Funds
Presented by Michigan News

Debra Horner, senior program manager at the U-M Ford School of Public Policy Center for Local, State, and Urban Policy, and Natalie Fitzpatrick, project manager, discuss a new survey of local government leaders in Michigan. The survey indicates that Michigan local government leaders are using funds from the federal American Rescue Plan Act on capital improvements, infrastructure, and public safety. The survey also finds that the larger state jurisdictions will improve in areas such as fiscal health, infrastructure, and overall quality of life with the money compared to smaller jurisdictions. The faculty experts highlight survey findings as well as the plans for the funds in other aspects of the community.
