For decades, low-income communities have suffered from the negative impacts of the energy system. The University of Michigan’s Energy Equity Project, managed by Justin Schott, has released the first standardized national framework for comprehensively measuring and advancing energy equity. The EEP was designed not only to highlight the current inequities of the clean energy transition but also aims to establish processes to reverse them.
