Recently, the idea of an urban-rural divide, or the idea that people from urban and rural places think differently about policy issues, has garnered a lot of attention. Students from the U-M Ford School of Public Policy have been examining the Michigan Public Policy Survey, a survey of local government officials that takes places every year to identify where they fall on the urban-rural continuum.
