‘Talking Trash’ Discussion Focuses on Reducing Single-Use Plastics

Inspired by the Plastic Bag Store, an immersive public art installation that provides social commentary on our plastic consumption, the University of Michigan Museum of Art hosted an interactive discussion “Talking Trash,” on combating the overwhelming effects of single-use plastic. During the event, the panelists explored ways to reduce our reliance on single-use plastics, such as using reusable alternatives, implementing policies to reduce plastic production and consumption, and promoting recycling and proper waste management.
