In an effort to reduce the risk of firearm injury and death in rural areas, the first test of an online prevention strategy in rural Michigan shows promise. Tailoring the information for the rural community with tips on gun storage and discussions of teen suicide within the community. Ewell Foster, a clinical psychologist in the Michigan Medicine Department of Psychiatry, discusses the findings from the study and how educating the community with this pilot program will go a long way in saving lives.
