Two recent reports of COVID-19 reinfection have been reported. Michigan Medicine associate professor, Adam Lauring, MD, PhD, discusses how reinfection is due to the body’s immune response and how the virus changes. He points out that these individual cases are interesting but people should worry about avoiding infection in the first place, rather than reinfection.
