Richard Curtin, a U-M economist and director of the surveys, discusses how consumer sentiment has increased by nearly 10% since March, voicing more positive reviews for the month of April. Curtin notes that the increase focused on expectations regarding the economy and personal finances. The faculty expert also highlights that the ongoing developments concerning the Russia-Ukraine crisis could reverse the decline in gas prices.
