Researchers Rethink E Cigarettes Role In Treating Cigarette Smokers Nicotine Addiction

Are e-cigarettes, or vapes, an adequate tool for smoker cessation in adults? Kenneth Warner, dean of the University of Michigan School of Public Health, suggests that this is the first legitimate tool for smoking cessation in adults and that adequate research supports this notion. While agencies in the United States and Canada acknowledge the potential benefit of e-cigarette use, they deem the evidence to recommend e-cigarettes for smoking cessation as insufficient.
