A new U-M study, drawing on data from the National Poll on Healthy Aging, has found that most older adults take multiple drugs, but 80% haven’t had a medication review to check the safety and potential savings, and 83% of them don’t realize it may be covered by insurance. Antoinette Coe, Pharm.D., Ph.D., of the U-M College of Pharmacy, worked with the poll team on the new analysis and shares insights on the findings.
