Gabriel Ehrlich, director of the U-M Research Seminar in Quantitative Economics director, discusses how Oakland County in Michigan will surpass its pre-COVID-19 employment level with an increase in employment rates and wages. Ehrlich notes, though, that inflation and war in Ukraine still pose economic risks. The faculty expert further highlights industries that will likely recover quickest and how inflation will most likely remain high in the near term.
