There are numerous benefits to the smart Internet to things, which includes smart televisions and personal assistants such as Amazon’s Alexa. However, security and privacy are still large issues. A team of researchers from seven universities including the University of Michigan will work on a rational research project to address these issues. Denise Anthony, professor at the U-M School of Public Health, discusses how the project came to be and its potential impact.
