U-M Computer Science and Engineering Assistant Professor David Fouhey discusses research regarding training neural network models to identify an individual’s partial position in videos, teaching AI machines poses and environmental interactions. With human pose estimation, these AI machines will eventually be able to model different human positions without specifical labels or full-view cameras. Fouhey also explores limitations with the research and offer potential solutions for trained neural networks.
