Researchers at the University of Michigan have developed a strategy involving biomarkers to screen for a rare and deadly complication associated with antibodies in cancer treatment. Salim Hayek, M.D., senior author of the study and medical director of the University of Michigan Health Frankel Cardiovascular Center Clinic, discusses the threat of myocarditis with cancer treatments and the impacts that the new biomarker strategy could have in treating it.
