University of Michigan researcher and professor at the U-M School of Information, Gabriela Marcu, talks about a pilot study she worked on based in Philadelphia. Researchers provided a new cell phone application and the overdose reversal medication, naloxone, to volunteers. She says that the study highlights the value of involving community members in the opioid crisis.
