Polycystic ovarian syndrome, or PCOS, can cause a wide variety of ailments, from disrupted menstrual cycles to Type 2 Diabetes. With it also being one of the leading causes of infertility, many are unaware that they have the condition until they are pregnant. A recent study led by Alexandra Cara, Ph.D., a former U-M graduate student, discusses the symptoms of PCOS and the factors leading to its development.
