Most Heart Transplant Centers’ Websites Get Failing Grade When it Comes to Clear, Accessible Information

Researchers found that most websites for heart transplant centers in the United States are difficult to understand, with more than 40% lacking information in languages other than English. Only just over 10 heart transplant centers are online, providing information in a language other than English. James W. Stewart II, M.D., MSc., a national clinician scholar with the University of Michigan Institute for Healthcare Policy & Innovation, discusses that there is a huge problem and a disconnect between physicians and patients versus what’s going on and what patients actually need.
