Lydia Wileden, a doctoral candidate at U-M and research associate at Detroit Metro Area Communities Study, discusses vaccine hesitancy among Detroiters. Wileden notes that nearly a third of a random sample of Detroit adults had not received any COVID-19 vaccinations in June 2021 but obtained their first done in the second half of last year. The research associate notes the success of outreach efforts in getting Detroiters to receive vaccinations. Wileden further highlights findings from the study.
