A new U-M study found that banning menthol flavors in cigarettes could decrease smoking by fifteen percent. The report supports the April 2021 announcement by the United States Food and Drug Administration, which is aiming to ban menthol cigarettes and cigars across the country. The ban would not include e-cigarettes and other flavored products.
