Child birthing is a beautiful, yet risk-filled endeavor for women globally, however, keeping pressure applied to the issue is feared to be an even greater battle. Making childbirth safer for women has for decades been a focus of the global health community, with steady maternal mortality rate declines across much of the world to show for it. Maternal health researchers at Michigan Medicine and their Ghanaian collaborators highlight instances of the mortality rates decreasing and in some cases reversing.
