Jessica Lovering, a senior visiting fellow of the Fastest Path to Zero Initiative at U-M’s nuclear engineering and radiological sciences department, explores the issue of land use and renewables. Lovering explains why it is essential for energy developers and policymakers to consider land use, the trade-offs between land use and clean technology, and strategies to reduce the impact on our landscape as we transition to more clean energy.
