Telehealth has played a significant role in maintaining and increasing access to buprenorphine treatment for individuals with opioid use disorder during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a new University of Michigan study. The research team studied how pandemic-related policy changes in March 2020 affected buprenorphine treatment across audio-only, video, and in-person visit types.
