A team of researchers from Michigan Medicine hopes they have found a way to shorten hospital stays and minimize complications for head and neck cancer patients undergoing cancer removal surgeries. Ashok Srinivasan, M.D., FACR, senior author of a new study and a neuroradiologist at U-M Health, discusses a new technique to assess surgical effectiveness and identify potential complications with the “free flap” surgical method.
