High-Intensity Drinking Escalates Among Teens Within Two Years of First Drink

According to a recent study by U-M researchers, the average time of escalation from first drink to high-intensity drinking occurs within two years of first trying alcohol. The study also revealed that heavy drinking among teenagers begins well before they accept their high school diploma.
