U-M Ford School of Public Policy professor Adrienne Harris discusses ways to increase financial inclusion, earned wage access, and the fixed pay cycle. Harris notes the Earned Wage Access in approaching financial inclusion and other technological solutions that allow people to “get paid as they earn.” The faculty expert highlights that granting access to wages earlier will help individuals pay their bills and other financial aspects in a reasonable timespan rather than “in one shot.”
