Forever Chemicals Linked to Hypertension in Middle-Aged Women

PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) or “forever chemicals” are used in everyday household items such as shampoo, dental floss, cosmetics, and more. Ning Ding, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Michigan School of Public Health, shares insights from a recent study finding that middle-aged women with higher blood concentrations of PFAS are at greater risk of developing high blood pressure.
