The White House has increased the focus on cancer prevention and early treatment with the renewed Cancer Moonshot Initiative. New studies from Michigan Medicine may be useful for policymakers to decrease inequalities and better ensure early diagnosis of cancer. Mark Fendrick, M.D., who helped lead the new studies and directs U-M’s Center for Value-Based Insurance Design, discusses the research as it relates to specific types of cancer.
