Australia experienced an early influenza season, which has been reported to be its worst flu season in the last five years, with higher rates in young children. Laraine Washer, M.D. medical director of infection prevention and epidemiology at Michigan Medicine, discusses what the flu season might be like in the United States and which parts of the country could be impacted the most.
