The U-M Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) presents The Asian American Experience: Discrimination, Identity, and Civil Rights Perspectives panel which will explore issues that are raised by and related to Peter Ho Davies’ book The Fortunes. What experiences do Asian Americans have navigating in the U.S. culture, including issues of discrimination and anti-Asian sentiment? What are the complexities related to identity? Our panelists, Roland Hwang, Manon Desai, Dan Moen, and Mai Xiong, representing the Chinese, Hmong, Asian Indian, and Filipino American communities, will address these questions.
