In conjunction with the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan, join experts from University of Michigan Addiction Treatment Services (UMATS), part of the U-M Addiction Center, for a timely discussion on cannabis and mental health. As marijuana legalization expands, so does our need for greater understanding of the uses and effects of this psychoactive drug. Jonathan Morrow, MD, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Psychiatry and practicing physician, and Sarah Rollins, LMSW, clinical social worker, will share their expertise to help you navigate the changing landscape of legal marijuana use. Moderated by Frederic Blow, Ph.D., Director of the U-M Addiction Center, the conversation will illuminate the pros and cons of marijuana use and differentiate between addictive and non-addictive characteristics so that you can make informed decisions on how you engage with cannabis.
This session is a partnership event between the U-M Addiction Center and the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan.
