How can we improve the quality of nursing care in the United States to ensure racial equity? This question is at the core of Dr. Margo Brooks Carthon’s research. Carthon is visiting U-M from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, where she conducts gerontological research specializing in health care systems. For an upcoming Real World Perspectives on Poverty Solutions event, Carthon will discuss her research on the nursing care needs of vulnerable older adults and recommend ways to change outcomes.
