Join the University of Michigan community as we celebrate Black History Month throughout February. The focus of Black History programming this year is empowering and uplifting the rich culture, creativity, and impactful contributions of Black folks within the diaspora. This year’s theme, “Empowering Generations: Past, Present, Future,” is inspired by the importance of innovative artistic expression echoed throughout generations. Events include an opening ceremony, a variety of lectures, art exhibits, Soulfood Sundays, and more.
