EV Transition Will Benefit Most Us Vehicle Owners, but Lowest-Income Americans Could Get Left Behind

Electric vehicles would provide means for many Americans to save on transportation energy, defined as the gasoline or electricity that powers vehicles. And as more people switch to EVs, we lower the carbon footprint and the general greenhouse gas emission into the atmosphere. But, this study completed by the University of Michigan also suggests that more than half of the lowest-income Americans will continue to face the financial burdens associated with high transportation energy costs.
