Chronic hepatitis B, or CHB, is a liver condition that affects nearly 2.4 million Americans, more disproportionately, those of Asian or African descent. Anna Lok, M.D., assistant dean for clinical research and director of clinical hepatology at Michigan Medicine, conducted a study involving the treatment of CHB to focus on treatment differences to see if there was a racial bias in the process.
