Mary Barnes, PhD, assistant research scientist in the Department of Survey at Michigan Medicine, spoke to patients about their experiences with postponement or cancellation of surgeries due to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. She ended up doing forty-seven interviews, for a study that was recently published to exemplify the impact of postponing cardiovascular surgeries.
